Idea 9 - Social Media
This can be one of the most powerful and 'free' ways of getting your message to a lot of people.
Social media is your digital shop window, it's often the first place a customer will 'walk past' before they decide to visit you in person.
For Making Local Connections Week (Sept 21st–27th), the goal isn't just to sell a product, it’s to invite people into your story.
Tell the world about your store and the event you are running during the week.
Remember to use the #MakingLocalConnections and also copy in relevant local people as all this will help spread the word.
Find a good photo or images that help to explain what you will be doing in store and write a short article.
Some examples are attached but make sure you adapt this to suit your event and your store.
Depending on which social media channels you use, adapt the post to suit the channel and the readers.
You can always post the same post or an adapted one at different times in the lead up to your event.
